(以英國和英國殖民地來說)queens有很多個，但是the Queen是專指英女王。(現在的話其他的queens就較少人去注意)

internets也可以有很多個，但是the Internet是專指現在眾所周知的連接全球的網路。(現在的話那些個別的小網路也較少有人會刻意去說an internet)
