台灣近年常出現所謂「靠爸族」，指的是依靠家中長輩來取得成功的人。那麼「靠山」的英文怎麼說呢？guardian angel（守護的天使）是也。你也可以對幫助你的人說：You’re my savior.（savior為名詞「救助者；救星」）或 You’re my protector.（protector為名詞「保護者」）。

例句：

A：Don’t worry. I’ll take care of your scandal and the insider trading charges against your brother.

B：You’re my guardian angel! I’ll find a way to repay you one day!

A：別擔心。我會妥善幫你處理你的醜聞和你哥哥內線交易的事情。

B：你真是我的靠山！我有一天一定會回報你的！
